摘要：A system is disclosed for distributing data representing movies and/or mini-series. The system includes a database for storing and cataloging data representing pre-recorded movies. A billing system is connected to the database for selectively providingand controlling access to the data. The system further includes a user interface including
means for requesting the data and means for viewing the data. A transmission network isconnected between the user interface and the database for selectively transmitting thedata therebetween. Upon the billing system providing access to a user, the requestingmeans generates a data request for retrieving the data from the database for
transmission of the data via the transmission network for viewing by the viewing means.
