Solution of thetechnical object In a sealing system on a door opening of motor vehicles, in particularutility vehicles, having a protective entry rail (3) and a door seal (4), an abrasion-proof andat the same time also permanently elastic protective strip (5) engages, at least in certainareas, over the door seal (4) in the base region tightly with respect to the outer contourof said strip, it being possible for the protective strip to be integrally connected to theprotective entry rail or said rails can be connected to one another as individualcomponents in a clip-like manner. The protective strip is preferably produced from athermoplastic or from rubber.
