通常跟名词复数，但也可以单数。
比如lots of people。(复数)
There is lots of reading in class. (单数)

可修饰可数名词复数，也可以修饰不可数名词
如
There are lots of books in the library.
图书馆里有许多书。
或
There is lots of water in the river.
河里有许多水。
