观看行骗电影第一守则：不要相信任何人，越是至亲好友嫌疑越大！「火柴人」基本上遵循此一原则，但是观赏的乐趣远在剧情转折之上，它可以是时下诈骗集团骗术大观，可以是生动描写父女弟兄情谊电影，所有角色表情对话皆自然无比，他们灵机应变的工夫让人相信他们是货真价实的骗徒，不像一些电影演得比实际聪明，「火柴人」是真正让我享受在骗徒生活中的一部电影。
"尼可拉斯凯吉"饰演的骗子"罗伊"自称为"行骗艺术家"，因为他只利用人性中贪婪的弱点让猎物上钩，例如电话通知你中奖但是请先缴税，拿过期的中奖乐透引诱路人，或是骗取生意人赚取汇率兑换价差等，换言之只要你作事光明磊落就不会被他骗到，不过这当然只是他为自己行骗所找的藉口罢了，那些手法其实就像我们常在社会新闻中所听见的真实案例，但是亲眼在大萤幕上看到好像还是头一遭，我担心的是不知诈财集团看了这部电影是否会有所启发翻新技术？
别看"罗伊"骗无不胜的丰功伟业，其实他私底下竟是个患有精神官能疾病(强迫症)的家伙，"尼可拉斯凯吉"诠饰起发病的模样简直出神入化，难度比「兰花贼」时更高了，如果奥斯卡评审是公平的，应该要让他连庄入围，比较可惜的是我看不出官能疾病与骗徒间有何必然关联，只是一个骗徒刚好患有官能症罢了，但是这赋予观众机会用比较私人的角度来重新衡量骗徒的行为，我就十分同情"罗伊"想当个好爸爸却又深觉自己不适任的心境。
至於影片中另外两位灵魂人物，演技方面也都交出了漂亮的成绩单，罗伊的徒儿法兰克(山姆洛克威饰)与他感情真是好到没话说，两人默契十足情同手足，只是法兰克对罗伊表达尊敬的方式竟然是"青出於蓝更胜於蓝"，毫不谦虚，这颇令人玩味。"山姆洛克威"的演技足以取代任何一部"爱德华诺顿"演出的痞子角色，例如「赌王之王」、「鬼计神偷」等，至於饰演女儿的"艾利森罗曼"，层次分明的演出也让人刮目相看，既然她对观众还算是*秀，不得不说她最厉害，因为她还骗到了观众的眼泪。
「火柴人」是一部十分关注在角色身上的电影，令人向往骗徒的生活方式，因为他们能够如此游戏人间游刃有余。本片并不世故的进行道德劝说，因为本来就螳螂捕蝉，黄雀在后，没有什麼好责怪的，但是它让我们重新思考什麼才是真正值得重视的价值，唯有失去一切才开始懂得学会珍惜

The film Matchstick Men just like an atom bomb that gives audiences a tremendous surprise after the end of cinema . The viewers are attracted by a series of unexpected footprints which set by the talented humourous director ,Ridley Scott , and feel sympathetic to the hero Roy ( Nicholas Cage )who tells us much essence of life .After watching this small cost movie, people seem to be cheated as the same as the hero in the film ,Roy , who as a tricker being deceived by his close colleague and his hearted daughter ,but persons are glad to be cheated for this fresh ,cliff-hanging and thinking movie.
Roy , Nicolas Cage acting , an international transnational deceiver , is a seeming patient with the obsession , feeling uncomfortable outdoors and disgusting the tiny of dirty which is acutually unseen and often see a doctor, his psychologist . With his reliable partner , Frank , played by Sam Rockwell, they make a fortune through varieties of tricks and never get nothing. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl , called Angela , acted by Alison Lohman ,come to Roy's world . Roy find himself graally love his suddenly girl, and will devote his everything for her . Nevertheless, audience may think that it is common as the same as other majorities of movie . With the close colleague Frank ,hearted daughter and related far away psychologist playing together , an unpredictable performance just run . Just when Roy fall in love with his missing daughter ,he has already step into the trap placed by the people around him including his sudden daughter. In the end of the story, Roy don't sell his intrigues, but sell ordinary goods. And his companion ,daughter ,psychologist and someone who he believed ever have already been at large . However , something is dramatic.When seeing Angle feel embarrassed at an occasional place ,Roy forgive Angle,just a father forgive his careless little princess . There will be a warm stream coming to every viewer.
After seeing the film, I think of an old saying ,the wolf has a winning game when the shepherds quarrel. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.You never know what will happen next second ,and there where is a miracle for you .Life is like the film Matchstick Men filled with cliff-hanging plot .One don't know clearly what is the truth of the life , he may be tricked by what he insist on pursuing thing and lack the emotion from the bottom of his heart. The hero lose his wealth, but gain sincere emotion . I'm considered Roy is lucky that he find what is the true meaning of the life ,work hard for his family and live happy. There is much unhappiness or sadness in our daily lives ,the more optimistic attitudes we choose ,the better our life will be.
