这是我们中国的俗语，如果要翻译成英文，那么按字面意思应该是：
One would damage ten temples rather than destroy a marrige.
但是，这样翻译的话，由于文化的差异，老外就该一头雾水了，那么意译就是：
People should not destroy a marrige no matter how.
