spend的主语必须是人,可以用的结构为spend time/money on sth/(in) doing sth,如
Ispent 10 yuan on the book
I spent a day (in) fixing it
take和cost的主语一般是物体或者是代词it,take主要指花费时间,cost一般指金钱或某种代价
It took me one hour to walk there
The book cost me 10 yuan(与Ispent 10 yuan on the book互换）
